
Abby Walters
Abby was born June 17 and is now 8 years old. She
is in the 3rd grade. She is the daughter of Brian and Amelia Walters. She has 2 younger brothers
named Tyler age 5 and Ryan almost 4. When
asked to describe her personality, she says that she has blonde hair and blue eyes and freckles on her nose. She is very energetic
and loves to talk. She is also very happy!
When she has nothing else to do she likes to read
books and play pretend.
Her
favorite subject in school is art and sometimes science. Her favorite color is pink and purple. She says that her favorite food is anything
with sugar! Other than the piano she has gymnastics and likes "Activity
Days".
When she grows up, she says she wants to be a famous pop star
or a mom for an orphanage.
Abby has been taking lessons with me since July 2009. She is a beginning
student and is progressing well. Her favorite song to play so far is "Up and Down" . She still
wants to learn "lots of things" because she "just started"!
Abby's advice
to other students:
"Set a timer for how
long you need to practice so you don't have to count the time, but still practice as long as you need!"

Caitlin Brooke
Ure
Caitlin was
born May 28 and is now 11 years old. She is in the 6th grade. She is the daughter of Nathan and
Darcy Ure. She has a younger brother Braden age 9, a younger sister Maren age 8, a younger brother
Spencer age 5 and a younger sister Ellie age 2. Braden and Maren are also piano students. When asked to describe
her personality she says that she is talkative.
When she has
nothing else to do she likes to do "backwalkovers"! Her favorite subject in school is Math. Her favorite color is purple. Her favorite food is pizza. She has two mice named Tom and Jerry. Other
than piano, she takes Flute lessons and is in Gymnastics.
Caitlin is
an advanced student and has been taking lessons with me since January 2006. She has made great progress. Her favorite
song to play so far is "The Phantom of the Opera". She still wants to learn how to play "Chinese Dance"
from "The Nutcracker".
Caitlin's advice to other students:
"Practice or you won't get any better!"
